The Deal with Wine Riot:
Wine Riot is The Second Glass's expo-style wine tasting
extravaganza, bringing together all types of winos to sample new wines, soak up
knowledge from the experts, and sample tasty food pairings amidst a DJ,
photobooth, lounge, and more. Our third-annual Wine Riot will take place April 16th
and 17th, 2010 and will be held in the
Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts.The
BCA is located at 593 Tremont
Street in the heart of the South End.
Wine Riot opens Friday, April 16th for our
special Night of the Bubbles, complete with celebrity led Crash Course
seminars, limited ticket sales and complimentary food pairings. Saturday April
17, the Riot continues with two sessions featuring Crash Course seminars, DJ,
TSG photobooth, and more!
The Deal with Volunteering and your
FREE ticket!
Volunteers are asked to sign up for one of
the shifts below and will then be given access to sign up for their free
session of choice. Those who choose to Volunteer for Riot 2 Saturday night are not allowed to pick Riot 1 as their free
ticket, due to the alcoholic nature of this event.
Volunteers are required to attend one of
two meetings before Wine Riot to get acquainted and
go over volunteer responsibilities. At the meeting volunteers will recieve
their free staff shirt and learn the logistical details of the event. Dates/times
for these meetings TBA.
Once you're signed up, we'll contact you in the next week or so on how to claim your free ticket!
All volunteers must be at least 21
years old.
Volunteers jobs will consist of some or
all of the following (and will be organized into groups): checking in vendors,
taking tickets, issuing wristbands, handing out guides and wine glasses,
monitoring and assisting in Crash Course seminars, overseeing and helping with
following areas: the venue floor/exhibitor booths, food area and photobooth.
Volunteer shifts are broken down as
such:
Shift 1: Setup - Friday 3:00 - 6:30 PM
Shift 2: Night of the Bubbles - Friday
6:30 - 11:30 PM
Shift 3: Riot 1 Saturday 12:30 PM - 5:30
PM
Shift 4: Riot 2 Saturday 6:30 - 11:30 PM
